Letter of Commitment to the Rio +20 Conference

IRANI became a signatory to this document, in 2012, in order to engage in the search for innovative solutions in the use of natural resource use and conditions of life of the population. The initiative is part of the Global Compact Local Network Brazil.
The text has ten commitments that demonstrate the corporate commitment to the promotion of the inclusive green economy. This letter was presented to government authorities during the Rio +20 Conference.

Under the coordination of the Fundação Getúlio Vargas (FGV), this is one of the main global tools used by companies and governments to prepare the greenhouse gases (GHG) inventories.

This methodology seeks to understand, quantify and manage emissions. The IRANI GHG inventory was based on the methodology of the IPCC 2006 and ABNT NBR 14064-1, with external verification, part of the Gold category.

IRANI has voluntary taken part in the CDP since 2010. The objective of the CDP is to be aware of the actions taken by companies and encourage the reduction of emissions of greenhouse gases (GHG) into the atmosphere. The management of these emissions enables the Company to establish solid management of these emissions and contribute to the global issue of climate changes.
