Open Innovation

IRANI operates a systematized management of partnerships programs with universities, customers, suppliers, competitors and Scientific-Technological Institutes (STI´s) with the main objective of generating technological innovation in an open manner.

For this, the Company uses the Chesbrough concepts, which defines the Open Innovation concept:

"The intentional use of internal and external flows of knowledge to accelerate internal innovation and increase the markets for the use of external use of innovation, respectively. Open innovation is a paradigm that assumes that firms can and should use external ideas as well as internal ideas, and internal and external paths to market, as the firms look to advance their technology”

Henry Chesbrough is the creator of the term ‘Open Innovation’ – he graduated from Yale University, he is a Ph.D. in business administration from the University of California at Berkeley, he obtained an MBA from Stanford University and was a professor at Harvard. He currently teaches at the Haas School of Business, University of California - Berkeley, where he is the founding executive director of the Center for Open Innovation.
