The BagKraft line is manufactured with high performance standards and a sustainable process which ensures the final quality of the product and the compliance with environmental requirements.
The pine wood is the most commonly used raw material to manufacture paper. After being cut, the logs are debarked into woodchips, which generate cellulose and are used as fuel to produce steam and electricity.
The wood is composed of cellulose fibers which bond to one another through a kind of “glue”, called lignin. In order to convert wood into pulp, these fibers must be separated by removing the lignin.
The pulp gets to the paper machine headbox containing over 99% water. The mixture is released through a uniform and fine spray over the forming mesh. The filtering mesh, along with a vacuum system, extracts most of the water contained in the pulp, thus forming the paper sheet. The sheet is pressed between rolls to remove even more water. It then goes through the drying section, in which the drying cylinders extract the remaining water through evaporation.
The finishing procedure consists in converting the cut sheets and packaging the products. The process uses modern equipment for cutting, packaging and palletization. Currently, in most factories, the whole manufacturing process is done automatically, with no manual contact.
