Certifications

Irani has ISO 9001: 2008, ISO 14064, FSC® Chain of Custody and Forest Management certifications for all its own forests in all its industrial units.

Irani’s papers are ISEGA certified, which ensures that they are suitable for food packaging purposes.

The production of paper also meets the regulatory requirements of the National Sanitary Surveillance Agency (Anvisa).

ISO 9001: 2015

The proposed guidelines for the quality management system are ensured in a process of continuous improvement. This Standard promotes the adoption of an improvement process when developing, implementing and improving the effectiveness of a quality management system to increase customer satisfaction by its requirements. Irani is certified for the Paper, Packaging SC and Packaging SP units. The Paper Mill has been certified since 2000. Its quality systems have been audited and certified by the Brazilian BRTÜV and by the International TUV – CERT

ISO 14001:2015

The ISO 14001 Standard belongs to a set of standards, which sets out the guidelines oriented to the Environmental Management System. This Standard’s purpose is to enable the organization to establish processes for management of better practices, risks and reduction of environmental impacts. In this regard, the organization needs to assess the impacts its activities have generated in the past, in the present and which practices will be introduced in order to preserve the resources for future generations. Environmental Policy is fundamental to describe our commitment to the environment and the Environmental Goals that guide us to environmentally proper practices.

ISO 14.064

Ensures that Irani removes more greenhouse gases (GHGs) from the atmosphere than it emits. The certification is valid for all Company units. With the Emissions Inventory of Greenhouse Gases, Irani became the first Brazilian company to obtain the certificate by the international standard ISO 14064, year 2006 related to the quantification and verification of GHG.

FSC® - Forest Stewardship Council®

Ensures that timber produced or used by the company derives from forests that are managed in an environmentally responsible, socially correct and economically viable manner, along with other controlled sources.

Forest Management Certification: valid only for forests. Recognizing that the forest production meets the FSC^® standards. Irani has FSC certification for forest management for its own forests in Santa Catarina.

FSC products on consultation

The Chain of Custody certification guarantees that the product was manufactured with raw materials from certified and controlled forests. The existence of guarantees of origin control of the handling and tracking of the raw materials used in all production stages from forest to the final product. Irani has implemented a Chain of Custody for the Paper, Packaging SC and Packaging SP units.

Certificate of Lixo Zero Brazil

Certification of adequate waste management granted by the Instituto Lixo Zero Brasil (ILZB), an autonomous civil society organization. Founded in 2010 and a pioneer in disseminating the concept, ILZB represents the Zero Waste International Alliance (ZWIA) in the country, an international movement of organizations that develop the Zero Waste concept and principles in the world. Located in Campina da Alegria, municipality of Vargem Bonita, the industrial plants achieved a rate of 93.38% of waste diverted from landfill and an A grade in good waste management practices.
